THERAPY SCOUT PRO, Inc. takes privacy seriously. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information we receive and collect from you. We also believe in transparency and are committed to informing you about your personal information during your use of and access to our online mental health provider information service, which includes:
- A Directory for Consumers
- A Listing Service for Therapists
This Policy, together with the Terms of Use (Consumers) and Terms of Use (Therapists), governs all Users of the Service offered at Therapyscout.pro (the “Site”).
This Policy does not apply to information collected offline or through any third party, including third-party applications, websites, or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from this Site.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy at any time, in our sole discretion, by updating this posting. Such changes may occur without prior notice. You should periodically review this Privacy Policy to ensure you are aware of the most current terms. By continuing to use or access this Site, you agree to be bound by any revisions.
Information Collected
To provide the Services requested, we may collect or request certain information from Users.
- Consumers: We collect information whenever you visit the Site, access our content, or use our Directory Service.
- Therapists: We collect information when you register and use our Listing Service.
Note: None of the information we collect through this Site constitutes “Protected Health Information” (PHI) as defined by HIPAA, HITECH, or related regulations (45 C.F.R. Parts 160, 162, and 164).
Registration
- Consumers: No registration is required to use the Directory Service or browse the Site.
- Therapists: Must register with the Site to access the Listing Service and its features. During registration, Therapists provide:
- Name, email address, and password
- Credentials and license information
- Fee information
Optional profile information may include:
- Background, availability, and credentials
- Photograph(s) of the Therapist or their office
- Therapy approach and specializations
- Personal information (e.g., reasons for becoming a therapist, description of working style)
- A short introductory video
Unless participating in a free trial, use of the Listing Service requires payment of fees. To process payments, we or our payment processing partners may collect:
- Full name
- Email and postal address
- Telephone number
- Financial account and routing information
- Debit or credit card details (including expiration date)
Survey Questionnaires
- Consumers: We may require you to complete a survey questionnaire to determine your criteria for a therapist. We may collect:
- Age and gender identity
- Zip code
- Therapy preferences and goals
- Desired therapist characteristics
- Budget and insurance details
- Therapists: While creating a profile, you may optionally answer additional questions to help Consumers find you. Information may include:
- Practice and training background
- Types of services offered
- Client demographics served
- Accepted insurances and fees
- Personal traits, beliefs, and perspectives
Communication
- Consumers: When you use the “Contact Therapist” feature, we collect your name, email, and form details. If you authorize us, we may forward your info and survey results to a Therapist via email. Emails may be stored on third-party servers beyond our control and are not retained by us.
- Therapists: When you contact us by email, form, or referral features, we may use your communications to respond and improve our Services. We may also send account updates, feature notifications, and important announcements. You cannot opt out of critical account emails, but you may stop them by canceling your account.
Blogs and Public Content
Therapists may contribute to blogs or public forums within the Listing Service. Any content you publish is considered “Public Content.” You are responsible for your disclosures, and Therapy Scout Pro is not liable for the privacy or security of publicly shared information.
Newsletters and Announcements
Therapy Scout Pro may send newsletters and announcements to Therapists. You may unsubscribe via provided links or by updating your account information.
Feedback
We may provide feedback functionality allowing you to submit comments or suggestions. We may collect your name or username and email to respond or thank you.
Anonymous Data
We may collect and share anonymous, aggregated usage information with partners, advertisers, and Therapists. This data is not personally identifiable.
Automated Information Collection
We use Google Analytics and similar tools to collect non-identifiable statistical data. We may record information such as:
- Domain name and IP address
- Date/time of access
- Pages visited
- Referring site
- Device and browser details
- Search keywords
